It’s the 2nd week of September.

Schools have started again in the UK. A new academic year.
Autumn is in the air, though it’s not official till 21 September.

Summer is over.

The thing is, I’ve been hearing ‘Summer is Over’, since the 3rd week of August.  It makes me feel like I did many years ago when I was still at school and you see those ‘Back to School’ notices all over the place practically from day one of the school holidays. Give a kid a break!

So I decided to do a little something to honour Summer.
To bid it a fond farewell.
To let it know that it was very welcome and will be so again.

Perhaps it will bid us a fond farewell in return with an Indian summer, unseasonal warm weather in the autumn, as if to say ‘Goodbye my friends. Till we meet again!’

Here’s my ‘Ode to Summer’.
