It is so good when you can have a good heart-to-heart. When together you create a space where the conversation easily meanders between the two of you and you both feel heard, supported and loved.
Â
I had such a conversation last Friday. We talked about many things, including alternative treatment for what a friend of mine calls, ‘the little c.’ She has been diagnosed with breast cancer twice and is a survivor of note. When she goes about giving hope to those who are going through their own ordeal, she explains with her characteristic zest for life, cheeky chutzpah and her personal story, why she insists it’s ‘the little c.’
Â
Still, when you hear the cancer word, it is scary. And I have heard it so many times in the last year: A close friend, that person’s mum, an ex-colleague, her daughter, someone in a group I’m in, yet another friend… the list goes on. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed something similar?
Â
Have you also noticed how when you are focused on a particular topic, more of the same and related information comes your way?
Â
So I was not surprised when, having mentioned that Archangel Raphael is the angel of healing, my conversation partner forwarded this:

Angel Story
Â
“Barbara’s son is currently battling brain cancer and, as you can imagine, she’s doing everything in her power to ensure he has the best chance of survival. But sometimes the red tape that surrounds so many of these alternative treatments makes her feel like she’s banging her head against a brick wall.
Â
A few weeks ago there was a problem with Barbara’s order of Laetrile. Having Laetrile therapy in Australia requires you to jump through so many hoops it would test even a Cirque Du Soleil performer and, with all the calls to Mexico and complicated forms to fill out, it also demands the patience of a saint.
Â
And that’s just who Barbara decided she needed to call on a few weeks ago.
When her son had gone two weeks without Laetrile, Barbara started to panic. And pray.
Â
For three consecutive nights, she called upon Archangel Raphael, who looks over healers and healing, to aid in the swift delivery of this much-needed medicine.
Â
On the fourth day, she called Australian Customs to find out whether it had arrived. A young man picked up the phone.
Â
‘I’m so sorry but we’re just drowning in packages at the moment – it could be days until I can even let you know whether yours is here.’
Â
Barbara explained how desperate she was for the package and the man promised to do his best. She left her number.
Â
About an hour later he called her back with good news.
Â
‘I can’t believe it! Your package was sticking out the top of the pile. I’ll have it to you by tomorrow.’
Â
Barbara thanked the man profusely. ‘What is your name?’ she asked.
Â
‘Raphael’ he replied.”
Â
Makes you think, doesn’t it?
Â
Hmmm… The ubiquitous ‘they’ say there are no co-incidences…
Â
Big conversation, big stories, big hearts… sharing… make for healing conversations and pave the way for miracles.
Â
What are you waiting for? Get in touch.
