I have a physical body, just like you.
I have a nervous system, just like you.
I have feelings, just like you.
I get angry, just like you.
I love my family, just like you.

When I fall down and graze my skin, it hurts, just like you.
When I cut myself, it bleeds, just like you.
My heart beats and pumps blood around my body, just like yours.

Circumstances aside, I was created, conceived, just like you:
Two fertile clusters of cells got together and started something amazing –
You were the end result of one;
I was the end result of another.

When people say hurtful things about me, I feel hurt and sad, just like you.
When people say lovely things about me, I feel good, just like you.
When I am being hard on myself, I feel bad, just like you would if you were to think badly of yourself.
When I acknowledge how awesome I am, I feel good, just like you would when you think good thoughts about yourself.
When I feel good, I can trace it back to the feel good thoughts, just like you are able to.

I have learnt my thoughts are all there is, the rest follows. You can too.
I have learned that when I treat others as I would like to be treated, I often get it wrong. You can too.
I have learned that when I treat others how they like to be treated, I mostly get it right, you can too.
I have learned that I am responsible for how I feel. You can too.
I have learned that I create my own life circumstances or reality. You can too.

I have learned that this creation process happens regardless of whether I understand it or not, or whether I even know about it. You can too.
I am learning how the universe works. You can too.
I am learning to be a conscious creator. You can too.

I am learning to appreciate my life, where I’ve been, what I have accomplished.
I am learning to appreciate me.
You too can learn to appreciate you.

I am learning that appreciating me is about loving myself regardless and unconditionally,
Accepting who I am, what I am.
It is about understanding, accepting and knowing that I am so much more than my physical body;
That I am truly amazing; that I am indeed a creator. Just like you.
You can learn this too.

When you do, you will realize that what I wrote here about myself is true about you,
Is true about everyone
And you’ll feel joy and awe and filled with love.

Because in all those ways, we are the same, we are one.
