Well, well… here it is… my new website.
And this here is the first post, although all the blog posts from the old website have been transferred. Marion from OnlineBusinessGym.com has done a fabulous job. Thank you Marion 🙂
Do explore and let me know what you think of the new site – I always like to hear from you 🙂
The Baobab Way came about when I was looking for a new name for my company, Fresh Eyes Consulting. Fresh Eyes concentrated on teaching skills for talking when talking is tough and although those skills are key in creating, maintaining and rebuilding relationships, there is so much more that I can offer my clients. So I was looking for a name that would convey my life experiences, work experience and knowledge.
The baobab tree captures this for me seamlessly and so The Baobab Way was born.
The tree is a magnificent specimen of nature:
- It has an enormous fibrous trunk in which it stores thousands of gallons of water, 32,000 and more in the larger ones.
- It provides shelter for humans and animals alike.
- The leaves of the baobab can be used as a leaf vegetable in a salad or cooked like spinach.
- The fruit is a super food with fourteen essential vitamins and minerals and has one of the highest antioxidant capacities of any fruit in the world, giving it an amazing range of health benefits.
- The oldest baobabs are 2,000 to 3,000 years old and there are some that have been estimated to be 6,000 years old. The botanist Hugh Glen says “The problem with the Baobab is that it doesn’t get handsome until it’s about 800 years old”.
So you see, this tree, the baobab conveys that the principles on which my business is based and what I teach, is age-old. It conveys the environment of non-judgment and safety that is so important in coaching. It conveys the potency and nourishing effect of my brand of coaching and mentoring. It conveys the purpose of my work, my big why: to help my clients build resilience and a strong inner core, like the vast trunk of the baobab.
The Baobab Way is for people who want to change something important in their lives. People who are at the tipping point that something has to give. They have been contemplating change for a long time and now they are ready to step up to the next best version of themselves in business, work or personal life. If you’re looking for balance in your life, a new you, a meaning, The Baobab Way can help you bring clarity, confidence and courage to enable you to move forward.
