I was writing in the best of ways the other morning.

I had woken up early, all kinds of thoughts roaming through my mind. The only thing to do then is to get my journal out and start writing.

I don’t think about what to write. I just put pen to paper, write some inane comments like “I’ve been lying awake awhile. There is probably a lot going on in my mind. It is better out than in,” and continue in this vein, letting the words flow onto the page, letting what wants to be said, come through. And I am always surprised, touched and humbled by what follows:

‘I am merely a conduit for Spirit to speak to people, to reach people, to convey a message. Ultimately that message is:

You are loved. All is well. You’re taken care of.

There is no need to fret. God has your back. Fretting and fearing and feeling small does not become you. This is not what God has in mind for you. It is not of God. It is of your little self, your ego; when you depend on yourself alone. So call in the Divine. Ask to be shown the way. And if it is not clear, keep on asking. Then follow the leads.

Trust.

Trust that the path will unfold. The right people will show up, the right “money” will show up, the right help and advice will show up. Keep asking for direction. Keep asking for help. Then pay attention because God may not answer in the way you expect Him to. The answers may come in forms and from a direction you never considered and may even be blind to, if you don’t keep your mind open. So keep yourself open and clean so you can spot the Divine in action.

There can be quite a bit of humour. The Divine loves a good joke. Take it lightly. Stop being so serious. You are meant to have fun. Finally Understanding Nothing, as my erstwhile teacher Sidra, used to say. You don’t have to figure it out. Openness. Trust. Knowingness. Faith. Fun. Knowing that all will be well. You are doing exactly what you should be doing. And God loves you. The Angels love you. There is nothing you can do or say that will change this. You are God’s beloved. And God Himself is incomplete without you.

So celebrate who you are, because you are enough; more than enough. You are God’s creation and God created you perfectly. Just like the lilies of the field were created perfectly. Just like they don’t toil and don’t fret about what they shall eat and what they shall wear, neither do you have to, because God, your Father, takes care of you. Just because it does not come in the package you demand or the world sets forth it should arrive in, that does not make it any less true. You can depend on God. And God depends on you. And He knows that ultimately all will be well. How can it be otherwise? You are, after all, a part of creation, created perfect, a child of God, in love, of love and love itself.

This and more is what God thinks of you, why would you think less? Why would you tarnish God’s creation by denying God’s love? That way lays hell. Who would choose such a thing unless they have been misguided?

Dearly Beloved, you are so loved.

Open your eyes. Open your mind. Your body’s eyes are deceiving you. Your body’s ears are deceiving you. Your little mind is deceiving you. You will see but what you expect to see depending on what you expect to see. Change your expectations. Swap your perception of the world to knowledge; to the truth of who you are and see if you not be at Heaven’s Gate. Such is the love of God for you that you are assured you never left paradise. You are merely dreaming and when you wake from your slumber, you will see you’ve been in heaven all along.’
