Clutter Clearing

home_junk_clutter_304693_h-300x233.jpgDe-cluttering is on the cards, at least for me. Some time ago I decided that if something shows up three or more times, it’s time to take notice.

It started off innocently enough. First a friend shared how she is de-cluttering her life so she can travel with her life and business;  then I woke up one morning with a clear thought the loft needs clearing out. Next it showed up in a 28 day Business Alchemy course where the day 6 assignment was about clutter clearing and cleaning.

And then I came across Martha Beck’s blog … Getting Rid of Stuff…Insight from Martha.

Martha is an American sociologist, therapist, life coach, bestselling author and a woman with two degrees from Harvard. She and her husband, both staunch academics, saw their lives turned upside down when Martha fell pregnant with their son Adam who was diagnosed with Down Syndrome before the birth. The couple decided to keep and raise the baby. Expecting Adam was the beginning of Martha’s journey of unlearning the world of academics to becoming the person she is today. I know of at least one person who attended a Martha Beck workshop because she wanted to meet the woman who wrote Expecting Adam: A true story of birth, transformation and unconditional love. In case you’re wondering, no, it was not me.

When Martha speaks, I pay attention… there is profound wisdom and insight to be had. And she shares unreservedly. So rather than me blathering on about her wisdom and insight, mosey over to her post Getting Rid of Stuff…Insight from Martha, where she talks about The Law of Attraction as well, and see for yourself.

As for me, it’s time to get on with that clutter clearing!
